The Department of Psychiatry Office of Grants and Contracts (OGC) is a departmental office dedicated to administering all pre and post award functions of research awards for the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

In collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh's Office of Research, the OGC oversees the submission of over 300 research and training proposals per year and administers over 500 active grant accounts in cooperation with the University of Pittsburgh's Office of Sponsored Projects Accounting. The OGC also maintains an extensive database on the department's sponsored research and training grants and processes personnel actions for over 500 research employees.
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to support the Department of Psychiatry research community in all aspects of grant administration from inception to completion. We strive to do so in a knowledgeable, professional, and friendly manner and in close partnership with those we serve. By integrating research administration and compliance expertise, we aim to provide guidance toward optimal solutions for all grant related matters.
